Made in America Co. is the leading independent, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting American manufacturers and the workers behind them, as well as the creators of the nationally-recognized #BuyAmericanDay, a one-day-only global shopping event which exclusively promotes American-made products. When you buy American-made products, you not only stimulate the economy here at home but also support American workers, safe working conditions, and child labor laws. Since our establishment in 2013, we’ve built a loyal following of more than 250,000 active consumer members, and we encourage others to join our movement to protect America’s ability to produce, create jobs, and remain a world leader.
After hearing stories about how my great grandfather, J.P. Garrett, would only buy items that were made here in the U.S.A., I started my own personal initiative to buy more American-Made goods. Throughout the process of trying to buy more American-Made, I discovered that there was a major lack of information about American-Made companies.
So, halfway through my sophomore year in college, in December of 2013, I launched Made in America Co. with one simple intention: to encourage others to buy more American-Made products. We started out as a small Facebook page with only a few hundred likes, but with the support of my friends, family, and many other individuals and companies, we quickly grew and gained a lot of support.
In the summer of 2014, we filed with the state of North Carolina as a LLC and launched our own website and product line. In December of 2014, just before our 1 year anniversary, we launched our sponsorship program, which allows companies to partner with our organization to help support all things American-Made.
I never thought we would be where we are today, but it is because of individuals like you that we have the opportunity to do what we do every day. It's both an honor and a privilege to help assist our fellow Americans in buying American-Made.
On behalf of the entire organization, I want to express our sincerest expression of gratitude. So, thank you. Thank you for helping me achieve my dreams, thank you for supporting the movement, and most of all, thank you for buying American-Made.
